​EGC activities ​

The company has been operating in the natural gas distribution sector since it was licensed in 2005. It purchases natural gas from Saudi Aramco and supplies it to industrial customers through its privately owned underground pipeline network in the Second Industrial City in Dammam.

The Second Industrial City hosts more than 650 industrial and service factories across an area of 25 million square meters. Currently, the company supplies natural gas to 58 industrial clients in this vital area, with 24 additional factories scheduled to be connected during 2026–2027.

Infrastructure and Technologies

Pipeline Network:

The company owns a gas pipeline network of various diameters, approximately 48 kilometers in length, and continually expands it in accordance with the Ministry of Energy’s guidelines to meet increasing demand.

Communication Network:

Operations are supported by a fiber optic network approximately 62 kilometers long, serving as the communication backbone that connects all customer meters to the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) monitoring and control system.

Operational Systems

• SCADA System: Monitors operational processes in real time, including pressure, temperature, and consumption measurements.

• Odoo System: Manages internal resources and ensures operational efficiency across all company departments.

• Control Room: Operates 24/7 to monitor the network and customer meters via CCTV.

Operations and Services

East Gas Company is committed to providing comprehensive services according to the highest international standards in the natural gas distribution sector. Its operations include the following:

Customer Request Management and Project Planning

• Receiving and reviewing customer requests in accordance with Ministry of Energy guidelines.

• Conducting technical and commercial studies to determine meter locations and estimate project costs.

• Preparing precise technical specifications to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Providing support services to industrial customers for the installation of internal gas networks within their facilities, including supplying technical specifications, safety standards based on usage and location, and attending the internal networks inspection before gas activation.

Infrastructure Implementation and Connections

• Supervising the execution of pipeline connections through accredited contractors, adhering to international design and installation standards.

• Procuring meters and equipment suitable for each customer according to safe and efficient operational requirements.

Integrated Operation and Maintenance

• Continuously managing and operating the gas network and customers’ meters to ensure sustainability, continuity, and operational safety.

• Performing all types of preventive and corrective maintenance on pipelines and metering stations using the latest technologies to ensure optimal performance.

• Implementing asset management systems to maximize equipment longevity and reduce failures.

Smart Monitoring and Control

• Operating an advanced SCADA system for real-time network monitoring, including pressure, temperature, and consumption measurements.

• Utilizing digital analytics to predict faults and optimize operational efficiency.

• Maintaining a 24/7 surveillance camera network covering meter sites, selected pipeline sections, and the primary station to ensure the highest levels of safety and control.

Safety and Quality Management

• Implementing safety procedures at all stages of operations and maintenance in accordance with international standards such as ISO 45001, NFPA, API, ASME, and ISO 9001.

• Conducting regular employee training programs to ensure adherence to a strong safety culture, along with awareness programs for company customers on safe gas handling and emergency procedures.

• Conducting emergency mock drills twice a year based on pre-prepared plans covering multiple potential scenarios to ensure readiness and effective response. These drills are carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy, in coordination with relevant government authorities, and with the participation of company customers to ensure integrated roles and achieve the highest levels of safety and reliability. These drills are aimed at including:

• Simulating a variety of scenarios covering operational and security risks.

• Evaluating the response speed and efficiency of the teams.

• Documenting observations and preparing detailed reports to improve future procedures.

Billing and Consumption Management

• Preparing monthly invoices for customers based on accurate meter readings, with necessary adjustments to align quantities with the supplier’s (Saudi Aramco) billing.

• Ensuring full compliance with the pricing set by the Ministry of Energy and maintaining transparent billing practices.

انشطه شركة غاز الشرق

تعمل الشركة في قطاع توزيع الغاز الطبيعي منذ حصولها على الترخيص في عام 2005م. وتقوم بشراء الغاز الطبيعي من شركة أرامكو السعودية وتوريده للعملاء الصناعيين من خلال شبكة أنابيب أرضية مملوكة لها في المدينة الصناعية الثانية بالدمام. تضم المدينة الصناعية الثانية أكثر من 650 مصنعاً صناعياً وخدمياً تمتد على مساحة 25 مليون متر مربع. وتزود الشركة حالياً 58 عميلاً صناعياً بالغاز الطبيعي في هذه المنطقة الحيوية، مع خطة لربط 24 مصنعاً إضافياً بالشبكة خلال الفترة 2026-2027م.

البنية التحتية والتقنيات

شبكة الأنابيب: تملك الشركة شبكة أنابيب غاز بأقطار متنوعة، يبلغ طولها حوالي 48 كيلومتراً، وتعمل على توسعتها باستمرار وفقاً لإرشادات وزارة الطاقة لتلبية الطلب المتزايد.

شبكة الاتصالات: تُدعم العمليات بشبكة ألياف ضوئية بطول 62 كيلومتراً تقريباً، والتي تعمل كعمود فقري للاتصالات يربط جميع عدادات العملاء بنظام المراقبة والتحكم "سكادا" (SCADA).

الأنظمة التشغيلية:

نظام سكادا (SCADA): يراقب العمليات التشغيلية في الوقت الفعلي، بما في ذلك قياسات الضغط ودرجة الحرارة والاستهلاك.

نظام أودو (Odoo): يدير الموارد الداخلية ويضمن الكفاءة التشغيلية عبر جميع أقسام الشركة.

غرفة التحكم: تعمل على مدار الساعة (24/7) لمراقبة الشبكة وعدادات العملاء عبر كاميرات المراقبة (CCTV).

العمليات والخدمات

تلتزم شركة غاز الشرق بتقديم خدمات متكاملة وفق أعلى المعايير العالمية في قطاع توزيع الغاز الطبيعي، وتشمل عملياتها ما يلي:

إدارة طلبات العملاء وتخطيط المشاريع

• استقبال ومراجعة طلبات العملاء وفقاً لإرشادات وزارة الطاقة.

• إجراء الدراسات الفنية والتجارية لتحديد مواقع العدادات وتقدير تكاليف المشروع.

• إعداد مواصفات فنية دقيقة لضمان الامتثال لمعايير الجودة والسلامة.

• تقديم خدمات الدعم للعملاء الصناعيين لتركيب شبكات الغاز الداخلية في منشآتهم، بما في ذلك تقديم المواصفات الفنية، ومعايير السلامة بناءً على الاستخدام والموقع، وحضور فحص الشبكات الداخلية قبل تفعيل تدفق الغاز.

تنفيذ البنية التحتية والتوصيلات

• الإشراف على تنفيذ توصيلات الأنابيب من خلال مقاولين معتمدين، مع الالتزام بمعايير التصميم والتركيب الدولية.

• شراء العدادات والمعدات المناسبة لكل عميل وفق متطلبات التشغيل الآمن والفعال.

التشغيل والصيانة الشاملة

• الإدارة والتشغيل المستمر لشبكة الغاز وعدادات العملاء لضمان الاستدامة، والاستمرارية، وسلامة التشغيل.

• تنفيذ جميع أنواع الصيانة الوقائية والتصحيحية لشبكة الأنابيب ووحدات القياس، باستخدام أحدث التقنيات لضمان الأداء الأمثل.

• تطبيق أنظمة إدارة الأصول لتعظيم عمر المعدات وتقليل الأعطال.

المراقبة والتحكم الذكي

• تشغيل نظام "سكادا" متطور للمراقبة اللحظية للشبكة، بما في ذلك قياسات الضغط والحرارة والاستهلاك.

• استخدام التحليلات الرقمية للتنبؤ بالأعطال وتحسين كفاءة التشغيل.

• صيانة شبكة كاميرات مراقبة تعمل على مدار الساعة تغطي مواقع العدادات، وأجزاء مختارة من خطوط الأنابيب، والمحطة الرئيسية لضمان أعلى مستويات السلامة والتحكم.

إدارة السلامة والجودة

• تطبيق إجراءات السلامة في جميع مراحل التشغيل والصيانة وفقاً للمعايير الدولية مثل ISO 45001، NFPA، API، ASME، و ISO 9001.

• تنفيذ برامج تدريب دورية للموظفين لضمان الالتزام بثقافة سلامة قوية، إلى جانب برامج توعوية للعملاء حول التعامل الآمن مع الغاز وإجراءات الطوارئ.

• إجراء تمارين طوارئ وهمية مرتين سنوياً بناءً على خطط معدة مسبقاً تغطي سيناريوهات محتملة متعددة لضمان الجاهزية والاستجابة الفعالة. وتُنفذ هذه التمارين تحت إشراف وزارة الطاقة وبالتنسيق مع الجهات الحكومية ذات الصلة وبمشاركة العملاء لضمان تكامل الأدوار وتحقيق أعلى مستويات السلامة والموثوقية. وتهدف هذه التمارين إلى:

• محاكاة مجموعة متنوعة من السيناريوهات التي تغطي المخاطر التشغيلية والأمنية.

• تقييم سرعة الاستجابة وكفاءة الفرق.

• توثيق الملاحظات وإعداد تقارير تفصيلية لتحسين الإجراءات المستقبلية.

إدارة الفوترة والاستهلاك

• إعداد الفواتير الشهرية للعملاء بناءً على قراءات دقيقة من العدادات، مع إجراء التصحيحات اللازمة لتطابق الكميات مع فاتورة المورد (أرامكو السعودية).

• ضمان الامتثال الكامل للتسعيرة المحددة من قبل وزارة الطاقة والحفاظ على ممارسات فوترة شفافة.
