About East Gas

East Gas Company (EGC) is a Saudi closed joint-stock company established in 2005 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with its headquarters in Dammam.

The company’s current paid-up capital is SAR 80 million.

East Gas operates under a license and direct supervision of the Ministry of Energy pursuant to License No. (5) issued in 2005. Furthermore, the company is subject to the terms and conditions of the license, the Energy Supply Law, and its implementing regulations.

The company’s activities include purchasing dry natural gas from Saudi Aramco and supplying it to industrial customers through its privately owned underground pipeline network in the Second Industrial City in Dammam.

East Gas is committed to Perform engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance works for the pipeline network and metering stations in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

The company is the sole licensed distributor of dry natural gas in the Second Industrial City in Dammam.

East Gas Company currently serves dry natural gas to 58 industrial customers in the Second Industrial City in Dammam, with an ongoing plan to integrate 28 additional customers into the network during the 2026–2027 period

East Gas Company operates a gas pipeline network spanning over 47 km. We are committed to the continuous expansion of the infrastructure to meet the evolving energy demands of both existing and future industrial partners.

East Gas Company owns more than 62 km of FOC optical (fiber optic) network connecting all industrial customers to the central monitoring and control room 

The company Gas Al Sharq was established by a group of five companies.

National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO)

Equity Stake in EGC: 35%

A publicly listed Saudi joint stock company with a capital of SAR 750 million, established in 1963 following the merger of “National Gas Company in Dammam” and “Saudi Gas and Industrialization Company” in 1975 (1395H). GASCO is considered a pioneer in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sector in Saudi Arabia.

GASCO’s activities include filling and marketing LPG mixtures; selling, transporting, distributing, and marketing filled and unfilled gas cylinders and tanks (wholesale and retail); and trading in metal and steel pipes (wholesale and retail).

Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company

Equity Stake in EGC: 26%

A publicly listed Saudi joint stock company with a capital of SAR 375 million, established in 1989. It is one of the leading tissue paper manufacturers in the Arab world. The company produces high-quality tissue paper to meet the needs of local and international markets.

Its operations also contribute positively to the environment and society through paper recycling initiatives and reducing reliance on imported virgin pulp derived from forest trees.

Arab Paper Manufacturing Company (WARAQ)

Equity Stake in EGC: 23%

A Saudi closed joint-stock company with a capital of SAR 450 million, established in 1994. It is one of the leading companies in Saudi Arabia in the production of paper reels used in manufacturing cartons, cardboard tubes, and formica boards.

The company specializes in recycling cardboard waste, meeting local market demand, exporting internationally, and maintaining environmentally and socially responsible operations.

Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company

Equity Stake in EGC: 13%

A Saudi publicly listed joint-stock company with a capital of SAR 99 million, established in 1968 in Dammam as the first pipe manufacturing plant in the Arab world.

Since then, Amiantit has grown into a diversified industrial group with manufacturing facilities and sales centers worldwide. It serves multiple sectors, including water transmission and distribution, desalination, oil and gas, energy, petrochemicals, utilities, and municipal development.

Its activities include manufacturing various types of pipes, tanks, and fittings; developing pipe production technologies and machinery; water project management; and contracting services.

Al-Rabiah & Al-Nassar Group

Equity Stake in EGC: 3%

A Saudi closed joint stock company with a capital of SAR 300 million, established in 1950. The group operates across several sectors, including trade, investments, real estate, engineering, construction, industry, and mining, with various related and complementary activities.
